GitLab
By GitLab
Monitor merge requests, issues, and reviews. Surface blockers, keep pipelines moving, and deliver context directly into Slack or Teams.
Overview
PhronEdge’s GitLab integration keeps engineering pipelines flowing by connecting merge requests, commits, and issues into your organization’s workflow.
Merge requests are tracked for review status, age, and merge activity.
Issues and blockers are surfaced automatically for managers and leaders.
Activity appears in Slack, Teams, and dashboards without digging through GitLab.
With PhronOps (premium), contributors and reviewers can receive nudges, stalled work can be escalated, and loops can be closed automatically.
How it works
Enable the integration by authenticating GitLab with OAuth 2.0.
Select repositories or groups to connect into PhronEdge.
Capture activity automatically:
Merge requests are flagged if reviews are pending or delayed.
Linked issues update in PhronEdge as commits and merges happen.
Comments and changes sync for managers and executives.
Surface insights in Slack/Teams: contributors see their work, managers see blockers, executives get summaries.
Close the loop: merged requests and resolved issues update automatically across PhronEdge.
Configure
Admins enable GitLab from the Admin Center with a simple OAuth 2.0 connection. After connecting, they select which repositories or groups to sync. Once enabled:All members of the company are synced and onboarded automatically.
All members of the company see linked activity in their roles.
Blockers, merge requests, and issues are surfaced automatically into Slack, Teams, and dashboards.
Audit logs record every integration event for visibility and compliance.
If PhronOps is enabled, it adds automation (nudges, escalations, follow-ups).
